FAQS About our Alternative Advertising Services

Q: How do I know if your Vehicles, Segways or Street Teams are actually operating? A: We understand how important it is to see results from your campaign. Each of our trucks, Segway and Street Teams is equipped with a GPS tracking beacon and a digital camera to record the success of your campaign and provide those results.
Each campaign you run with Lucent Advertising includes a comprehensive post-campaign report detailing the full route taken, along with all stops and times, and crisp digital photos so you can see your ads in action.

Q: How long can you operate? A: Our scrolling billboard trucks can operate up to 16 hours straight. Our Segways generally last between 4 and 6 hours. Longer Segway operations are possible, requiring additional Segway units and fees.

Q: Who handles permits? A: Premits are usually applied for and paid for by the client or agency. We will be happy to assist if there are questions about safety or laws regarding our services.

Q: What about uniforms/apparel? A: Special uniforms, costumes and apparel are provided by the client. Unless specified differently, our staffs wear khaki/denim pants or shorts with client-supplied shirts and hats.

Q: Are there limitations on what you can sample? A: Other than the sample being legal and non-offensive, the only real limitation is size. Depending on the size of the samples and the logistics involved, we do have trailer options available for added fees.

Q: Are there times of the day or areas you won’t operate? A: Our Scrolling Billboard Trucks can operate on all types of road except for severe off-roads with no safety risks. Our Segway can function just about anywhere, as long as no safety risks exist. In lowlight and night time our Scrolling Billboard Trucks and Segway units are backlit to ensure high visibility. Some areas of operation may require that we provide and bill for additional security. Examples are events in “bar districts” or venues that serve alcohol and have more “active” crowds.

Q: What turnaround time do you need to be able to work an event? A: The more time we have to prepare, the better our ability to assist with every detail. We generally request 10-15 business days to finalize, produce graphics and get equipment and personnel in place.Rush/Immediate services are also available and may incur additional fees. We suggest that you book the event early to guarantee availability of operators and equipment.

Q: What if I want to use my own Segway operators? A: No. Due to Insurance Policies all operators must be employee of Lucent Advertising, llc.
